Think Globally, Act Locally

At Conveyor, one of our tenets is a focus on sustainability — to take care of our company, ourselves and our planet. One way we take care of our planet is by supporting our communities — both locally and globally. This year we had the honor to work with two mission-driven organizations that needed help with their messaging and content strategy.

Global ADE

Global ADE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving education in developing countries. Through Portland and Seattle-based fundraising efforts, the organization has built schools, funded teacher salaries and created student scholarships in Cambodia.

Fueled by this mission, we helped the Global ADE team define their content strategy and messaging to create Activate | Educate — a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign that worked to send 750 Cambodian children to school.

With help from their impassioned team, we developed audience-specific key messaging to reach participants at each phase of their donor journey. The successful campaign raised more than $75,000 for the betterment of Cambodia’s students, communities and economy.

Start Making a Reader Today (SMART)

SMART is a literacy focused nonprofit that pairs adult volunteers with middle school-aged children throughout Oregon. In the program, volunteers read one-on-one with students weekly during the school year, modeling a love of reading while building children’s reading skills and self-confidence. Children are also given books to take home and keep.

With these goals in mind, we helped SMART define their content strategy for Read Together, Succeed Together, a three-year campaign aimed at recruiting more volunteers and monetary donations for the organization.

We assessed the nonprofit’s social media and email marketing presence — their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities — and provided strategic recommendations to achieve their campaign goals. We helped the team draft targeted donor and volunteer emails and provided multi-channel content recommendations. With a content strategy roadmap and tools, we helped set their team up for success over the next three years.

What We Believe In

Just as we continue to help good companies tell better stories, we will continue our efforts to think, act and work sustainably. We’ll continue to partner with local nonprofits and organizations that make a difference not only in our Oregon community, but across the globe. And we encourage you, our friends and colleagues, to do the same — particularly in this season of giving.
